Mural Project Details:
Normanhurst West Public School approached us to create an Australian animal mural across their two-storey building. They wanted a mural that connected students to native wildlife while adding life to their bare concrete walls. We painted 19 concrete panels with a large-scale wall mural showing animals like koalas, emus, kookaburras, dingoes, cockatoos, black cockatoos, lyrebirds, green frogs, owls, blue tongue lizards, goannas, platypuses, mice, echidnas, gouldian finches, wombats, and pink galahs, using a style that blends mural art with subtle graffiti elements.
The series of murals overlooks the playground and has become a daily point of interest for students and staff. With the access equipment donated by Access Hire Australia, the project now gives the school a stronger connection to the surrounding natural environment and some of its local animals.
